After a mid season break last week (where the competitive juices flowed on the volleyball court at our club potluck rather than on a cricket field), all 3 of our teams are back in action this weekend against Halifax Titans Cricket Club.
Div 1 have a huge game where a win will put them 2 games clear of Titans and a loss will see Titans draw level in 3rd place. New recruit Jeben Roach plays his first game in Div 1 after impressing in his first few outings, while Abhilash Chandran also comes into the team for the first time in 2022 adding to an already impressive spin attack. We'll be hoping our five provincial players can continue their good form from the Nationals and get us a win.
Div 2 plays Sunday, and will be looking to bounce back from a last start loss to solidify our top ranking. With Danish Khan backing up after Div 1, we are fielding our strongest batting lineup of the season to add to our always impressive bowling attack.
Div 3 had a last up win and will be eager to repeat that on Saturday morning. Plenty of depth in the bowling attack this game, which certainly seems to the the club's strong suit at the moment. On the batting front, it will be a great chance for some guys to step up and get a big score.
